Welcome to the webcast of the Roche symposium "Current CF Treatments: Optimising Benefit and Survival" held at the 34th European Cystic Fibrosis Conference in Hamburg on June 9, 2011.

We are all impatient for revolutionary new CF treatments based on improved CFTR gene expression. Nevertheless, we must be aware that such innovation requires time, effort and a degree of risk that everything may not turn out exactly as we hope. Is there anything we can do while we wait for truly novel CF therapies? The answer is clearly yes, and this symposium will explore how to optimise the benefit our patients receive from currently available treatments.
